Jorge Lopez Ruiz passed away a few days ago. He was one of the true geniuses of World Jazz music gifting us with unique masterpieces such as “Bronca en Buenos Aires” or “Viejas Raices”. We will be reissuing his Viejas Raices 2 LP end of 2019.
One of the top tracks selected by Radio Martiko amongst 25 EP’s recorded by Congolese band Ry-Co Jazz on Vogue. This LP (with 4 different cover artworks) is just marvelous.
