Bernard Purdie: Lialeh

Back to those old holy grail finds! Sometimes, you need to have a bit of luck… At a famous Parisian record fair around 10 years ago, remember being second on the racks of the best dealer of the fair (always good stuff at fair prices with him!). Was very disappointed when the guy before me pick up Purdie’s Blaxploitation killer LP ‘Lialeh’ and thought it was not my lucky day. But the seller just told the guy that the LP was dead, which would explain the price. Surprisingly enough, the guy put the record back. Actually a solid VG+ copy for the ultra fair amount of 25 euros! Lucky me!

Bar-Kays – You can’t run away
One of their nicest 80s songs with some hints of Milton Wright’s best melodies. Classic!
