René Perrin:
Gwo Ka masta

Less known than Guy Conquette, René Perrin was nevertheless one of more terrific singers of gwo ka, the original sound from Guadeloupe. A blues shouter, as on this document dated 1993, during the big festival of Saint Anne’s drums. By his side, two references: the young Fritz Naffer and the old Carnot.

Bar-Kays – You can’t run away
One of their nicest 80s songs with some hints of Milton Wright’s best melodies. Classic!
