Roy Porter Sound Machine: Jessica

Thought it was time to speak about some of our “once in a lifetime finds” in terms of digging and it was appropriate to start with this one! Back in the days (late 90’s), in one of my usual digging spots in Paris, was checking the new arrival section while Roy Porter was playing on the turntable. As the record has just been reissued at the time (a 12” by Luv’N’Haight), it took me a while to ask the guy if I can check the LP that was playing! You can imagine my surprise when I discover a pristine original copy of this holy-grail, priced for approx. 15 euros! Still on my shelves at home!

Bar-Kays – You can’t run away
One of their nicest 80s songs with some hints of Milton Wright’s best melodies. Classic!
