Bo Diddley:
The Real Man

The native from Mississippi had invented what they would later call rock’n’roll. This is why he was also known as ‘The Originator’ because of his key role in this transition. This video, recorded on november 20, 1955, at the Ed Sullivan Show, a popular TV program, is a fine example. “I did two songs and he got mad. Ed Sullivan said that I was one of the first colored boys to ever double-cross him and that I wouldn’t last six months.”

Bar-Kays – You can’t run away
One of their nicest 80s songs with some hints of Milton Wright’s best melodies. Classic!
