This Is Marijata

We were very grateful to get an early introduction to this incredible record back in 1996 thanks to an intrepid London-based collector called James Romer and we were blown way. Ten years later whilst the existence of this record had been totally forgotten the little miracle happened in war-stricken Northern Ivory Coast. The trip was risky but totality worth it, to this date one of our best digs ever!

1978 (2017)/EMI (Odion Livingstone)
Amazing Nigerian cosmic pop tune produced by the mighty Odion Iruoje, sounds like an African version of Shuggie Otis! One of the reissue of the year for sure!
